Product Description

An audiophile braided power cable to provide clean, stable and quiet power to your hifi components!

Built to the highest standards using only ultra-high quality components including Euro-Schuko 2-pin or US 3-pin and a fully-grounded IEC-C15 connector at the component end, machined from a solid aluminum billet with strong internal wire connections and 24K gold-plated pins. This cable is rated for 120/240V and 10A max with a class-leading conductivity rating of 268S/m.

The cable type used for this amazing power cable is the sublime Lapp ÖLFLEX CLASSIC 110 CY 3G (1.50 mm²) with 3 separate lengths of this superior shielded cable in a braided geometry and sheathed in a silky soft woven material to reduce and remove resonance and microphonics.

All 3 conductor wires within each cable length are combined into a single conductor wire creating a total conductor cross-section of 4.50mm². With highly effective triple shielding against RFI/EMI, this results in an incredibly dark and quiet noisefloor.

Why braided?
The sonic benefits of braided cables are widely recognized and well documented in scientific audio literature. By braiding the 3 conductor wires, incident magnetic fields create a voltage of opposite polarity in adjacent half twists and this is referred to as the ‘Common mode Rejection Ratio’. The net effect is lower induced voltage and greatly improved external noise immunity resulting in a cable with a superior, dark noisefloor.

PS Audio’s Paul McGowan explains it nicely. In his youtube video ‘Are braided power cables better?’ Paul uses the Audioquest Thunder power cables as an example and explains why braiding is a great idea for several reasons and also mentions that the AQ Thunder are some of the most expensive power cables available today. My own cable is very similar in design, uses better connectors, twice as much copper but has a MUCH lower price! You really don’t have to spend 1000’s on power cables!

Another very effective design-aspect of my cable is the outer sheath using flexible, soft, high tensile strength fiberglass fabric, this is the quietest material I could find to reduce/remove microphonics and contact-resonance in the cable.

Handmade in Vleuten, The Netherlands with a strong focus on construction quality, durability, strength and a long lifespan.
After the construction phase, all cables are measured for sound quality, signal balance, capacity and impedance.
Waveforms are then produced and checked using Ocenaudio software to verify frequency response and balance and only when I’m happy with the results are the cables ready to ship.
